Rose Anemone

The Rose Bubble Tip Anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor) is the premium hosting anemone for clownfish in the home reef, prized for its distinctive rose, pink, and deep red coloration that intensifies under quality reef lighting. Bubble Tip Anemones are semi-photosynthetic and benefit from a combination of strong lighting (250+ PAR) and supplemental feeding with small meaty foods 2-3 times weekly. They prefer high, alternating flow and a stable sandy substrate or low rock ledge to anchor their foot. BTA are notorious wanderers in new environments – allow several days to a week for the animal to find its preferred position before adding tank mates. Once settled, they become fixtures in the aquascape and will readily host Ocellaris, Percula, and other Amphiprion clownfish. A living centerpiece for the mid-to-upper reef.
