Blastomussa

Blastomussa wellsi produces colonies of large, rounded polyps that expand fully during the day in colors spanning deep red, burgundy, green, and multicolor combinations – each polyp distinct, giving mature colonies a mosaic-like quality that intensifies under blue lighting. Blastomussa is among the most adaptable and forgiving LPS corals: it tolerates low to moderate lighting, thrives in gentle to moderate flow, and is compatible with most reef inhabitants when given appropriate spacing. It responds enthusiastically to supplemental feeding – target feeding with small meaty foods 1-2 times per week produces noticeably faster growth and more vibrant coloration. A reliable performer and a natural addition to any LPS-focused display.
