The Harlequin Tusk (Choerodon fasciatus) is a showpiece wrasse prized for its extraordinary coloration: broad alternating bands of deep orange and white across the body, edged with vivid electric blue fin margins and characteristic bright blue teeth that are displayed prominently when feeding. Australian-sourced specimens tend to display more intense coloration than those from other regions. The Harlequin Tusk grows to approximately 12 inches and requires a large, robust aquarium of at least 125 gallons. It is an active, bold fish that will consume ornamental invertebrates – shrimp, small crabs, snails, and small fish are all at risk. Best suited to a large FOWLR or aggressive community system with similarly-sized tank mates. Feed a varied carnivore diet of large frozen meaty foods. A statement fish of exceptional visual quality.
