Cabbage Leather

Belonging to the Sarcophyton genus, this large, soft coral lives up to its namesake. Exhibiting diverse colorations, it resembles a head of cabbage and sways gently in the current, filtering plankton for nutrition. Its size, reaching up to 3 feet in diameter, contributes to the structural complexity of reef ecosystems.
