Flame Angelfish

The Flame Angelfish (Centropyge loricula) is widely considered the most beautiful dwarf angelfish available, its deep orange-red body crossed by bold black vertical bars and edged with iridescent blue along the dorsal and anal fins. It is an active, inquisitive fish that explores every corner of the aquascape, adding constant movement and color. Feed a varied omnivore diet combining quality frozen preparations, marine algae, and small meaty foods. Flame Angels require caution in reef systems: they are known to nip at large-polyp stony corals, clam mantles, and ornamental shrimp, particularly when underfed or in smaller tanks. Risk is reduced in larger systems with ample grazing opportunities. Best kept singly or as a proven bonded pair; highly aggressive toward other dwarf angelfish. A signature fish for the dedicated reef or FOWLR collector.
