Frogspawn

Frogspawn (Euphyllia divisa) is a staple of serious reef collections for good reason: few corals deliver the same visual impact at rest. Its branching skeleton supports clusters of large, bubble-tipped tentacles that extend fully during the day, swaying in current with a fluid, almost hypnotic quality. Available in green, gold, tan, and bicolor morphs, each colony has a distinct character. Frogspawn requires moderate lighting (avoid intense direct PAR) and gentle, alternating flow – harsh laminar current causes the tentacles to retract. Keep adequate space between it and neighboring corals, as its sweeper tentacles carry a meaningful sting. Feed occasionally with small meaty foods for accelerated growth. A centerpiece specimen for any LPS-focused display.
