Koran Angel

The Koran Angelfish (Pomacanthus semicirculatus) undergoes one of the most dramatic transformations in marine aquarium keeping: juveniles display a striking pattern of white, curved lines on a deep blue-black background, while adults transition to a rich green-gold with intricate scale patterning and distinctive koran-script-like markings at the caudal base. Koran Angels grow to approximately 14 inches and require a large system of 180 gallons or more with robust filtration. They are not reef safe – they will systematically graze on large-polyp stony corals, soft corals, and clam mantles. Feed a varied omnivore diet including quality angel-formula sponge-based preparations, fresh vegetables, and frozen meaty foods. A classic, majestic fish for the large-format FOWLR or species display.
