Ocellaris Clownfish

The Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) is the defining fish of the saltwater aquarium hobby – instantly recognizable, endlessly appealing, and remarkably well-suited to captive life. Its vivid orange body with crisp white bands edged in black is produced reliably in aquaculture, making captive-bred specimens the standard and the preferred choice. Ocellaris are peaceful, reef safe, and compatible with virtually all coral and invertebrate species. They will readily host in a variety of anemone species – particularly Bubble Tip Anemones – but adapt comfortably to reef systems without a host. Keep as a bonded pair: two juveniles introduced simultaneously will establish a male-female pair over time. Feed a varied omnivore diet of frozen mysis, enriched brine, and quality small-pellet foods. The foundation fish of any reef display.
