Star Polyp

Green Star Polyps (Pachyclavularia violacea) are among the fastest-growing and most visually rewarding soft corals available. A purple encrusting mat spreads across rockwork and hard surfaces, producing dense clusters of bright green, star-shaped polyps that extend fully under moderate to high light – creating a lush, meadow-like effect that softens hard aquascape lines and fills negative space beautifully. GSP is exceptionally hardy and forgiving of water parameter fluctuations, making it ideal for new reef builds as well as established display systems. It thrives under a wide range of lighting and moderate, steady flow. Growth rate is notable: given open rockwork, a single frag can colonize a large surface area within months. A classic reef staple that never fails to impress.
