Talbot Damselfish

The Talbot Damselfish (Chrysiptera talboti) is a compact, vividly colored damsel presenting soft lavender-pink on the upper body with a bright yellow posterior and tail – an unusual color combination that adds warmth and contrast to the reef display. At 2.5 inches maximum size, it is one of the smaller damsels available and fits comfortably in reef systems of 30 gallons or more. Like most damsels it can be territorial toward small, similarly-shaped tank mates and should be introduced thoughtfully into established communities; in larger systems with ample rockwork its aggression is manageable. Hardy and adaptable, it tolerates a wide range of water parameters and accepts virtually all standard aquarium foods. An economical, durable fish with genuinely attractive coloration.
